Arterial thrombosis and leukemia were two of the diseases that showed lowered manifestation when the rats ingested aloe vera. Another promising aspect of the studies was there were no side effects displayed when the rats were fed a diet which included the aloe vera.
When studying the health benefits of aloe vera, research at the International Aloe Science Council concludes that gel from this plant can aid in healing and reduce the build-up of fluids and help to decrease pain. Lesions in the mouth were also greatly reduced or eliminated by using aloe vera.
